How to Write a Press Release
The following should be included on organization letterhead, or at least include an organization’s logo:
Homeless Organization
Street Address
Suite Number
City, State, Zipcode
Contact Person:
Contact Phone:
Contact Email:
Write a brief, clear, and to the point headline. It should be bold and center.
City of the Press Release, Date of Press Release.
First Paragraph of the release should summarize the entire release, and include who, what, when, where, and why.
The second paragraph of the release should elaborate the first paragraph, going into detail on who cares, why a reader should care, where one can find the event, when it will happen, and a quote from someone effected to give a personal touch.
The third paragraph summarizes again, and explains your organization and its mission.
Before ending, restate the contact information for the event.
