Homeless Awareness Week will be celebrated nationally between November 14th and 20th in 2010. However, here in Michigan, we encourage everyone to use the entire month of November to raise awareness. After all, awareness, activism, and advocacy around homelessness isn’t one week a year, or even one month a year, but all year long.

If you’re planning an event for this November, please contact Kate Ditzler (kditzler@mihomeless.org) so that she can put your event on our statewide calendar. She’s also the person to contact if you’re looking for any particular resource to help you plan your event.

So, save the date! We’re going to raise awareness here in Michigan.
